A key member of the Famous Pacific Shipping Group, FPS Indonesia has implemented the ISO standards at all of its key offices in the country, including those at Jakarta, Surabaya and Semarang. By achieving the certification, FPS Indonesia has demonstrated that it regularly reviews performance, has established quality objectives and has introduced written procedure documents.
Iskandar Zulkarnain, chairman of FPS Indonesia said: "We have worked tirelessly to achieve the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 certification and it is an important milestone in our development.
"When we created FPS Indonesia last year, we saw it as an excellent opportunity to utilise an internationally recognised brand to enhance our credibility and give worldwide recognition for our services. By gaining accreditation to an effective, internationally recognised quality management system, we are able to demonstrate to shippers that those services are of the highest standards."
FPS Indonesia specialises in ocean freight, expedited airfreight, as well as warehousing and supply chain management services. The company and brand was launched by PT Internusa Hasta Buana in April 2006 to take responsibility for all the parent company's freight forwarding and logistics operations, with a particular focus on marketing the group's ocean freight forwarding and NVOCC services.
